Lagomics Wins NIH NCATS OligoTox Open Data Challenge (Phase 1)
Lagomics has been selected by the National Institutes of Health as one of eight Phase 1 winners of the NCATS OligoTox Open Data Challenge, a national competition to generate publicly accessible, AI-ready datasets for advancing oligonucleotide toxicity prediction.
Our winning proposal outlines the generation of a chemistry-resolved interaction dataset that captures how molecules actually engage with human proteins. The field has largely relied on legacy readouts designed for regulatory endpoints, not for machine learning, and the gap cannot be closed by reorganizing what already exists. It requires de novo high quality datasets at the interactome level. Lagomics is generating this data from scratch for Phase 2 of the challenge.
At Lagomics, we build the ground truth datasets that make de novo protein design faster and more likely to work in reality.
